ABOUT KIM CAREY
Kim Carey is a writer, poet and photographer. Growing up in Bondi, Australia, she body-surfed and surfed from a young age. Her images capture a deep connection with nature and her life by the ocean. These are her instinctual home where daily she spends hours immersed in this sacred world. Today Kim lives in Byron Bay, Australia
She has traveled to more than 30 countries allowing her to connect with the spirit, culture, people and natural surrounds across the globe. Kim has taught English and History, and practiced as a Somatic Psychotherapist. Today she loves to capture and live with the world that moves her soul. Every day of her life she has entered the sea, except when she has sought solitude in the desert.

Poetry Anthologies

Kim Careyis a writer, photographer and poet and has travelled the world extensively and shares her delicate tribute to life, love, travel, freedom, peace and our connection to all things. 2007
In Envoy Kim Carey weaves experiences and travels in surreal pivots of life's mystery, heartache and magic. She bears witness to the complexities of the human psyche and the subtle murmurings of the soul and life's longing for its self
These poems spring from a vast palette of life: from surfing to the war in Sarejevo: nuclear disasters to Sufi masters, ancient mythology and modern love. This anthology reflects the tenderness, humour and pathos of Kim's journey and our shared humanity. 2013
